About IBoWV – Engineering Office and Weapons Technology

The Engineering Office for Optical Weapon Measurement (IBoWV) was founded on June 1st, 2025. Based on training as a graduate engineer and many years of experience as a reloader and sport shooter – especially in long-range shooting – the vision arose several years ago to be able to assess the condition of a rifled barrel in a reproducible manner and with the aid of objective criteria. With this in mind, IBoWV develops methods and equipment for implementing technically automated measurement procedures to enable the contactless, precise and non-destructive evaluation of rifled barrels in terms of contamination, erosion, deposits, corrosion and special events.

My goal is to give hunters and sport shooters more clarity about the condition of their barrels. In the constant pursuit for the perfect shot and the associated struggle between man and technology, this is a personal concern of mine.

Regardless of this, I also see a need in the area of digital documentation, whether in an official or curative environment.

Against this background, IBoWV’s services are aimed at both private and business customers.
